Congratulations to Egypt who won the finals of football’s Orange Africa Cup of Nations Angola 2010 on Sunday by beating Ghana 1-0.

Following the final, two very special and impressive awards were handed to the tournament's superstars: Mohamed "Gedo" Nagy, Egypt’s #15 was presented with the “Standard Bank Discovery of the Tournament” award. His teammate Essam El Hadary #1 was awarded the “Standard Bank Goalkeeper of the Tournament”.

These soccer superstars will each be allowed to nominate an international sporting event they wish to attend with a partner within the next 12 months. The prize is all-inclusive of flights, accommodation and tickets to the event of choice.

Standard Bank and African Football
Standard Bank supports pan-African football and has an eight-year deal with the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The agreement gives Standard Bank sponsorship rights - as the official financial services sponsor - to the following events or tournaments:
- Orange Africa Cup of Nations - biannually: 2010 (Angola), 2012, 2014, 2016
- African Nations Championship (CHAN) - 2009, 2011
- Orange African Youth Championship (Under20) - biannually: 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015
- Orange CAF Confederations Cup - annually: 2009 to 2016
- Orange CAF Champions League - annually: 2009 to 2016
